Foot washing is not part of the ritual in any Jewish holy day celebration.
In Biblical times, however, when almost everyone wore only sandals, a host would wash the feet of an honored guest, especially if they had been traveling. This was the duty of the lowest slave in a large household. When Jesus washed the disciples' feet, he was teaching them about humility and loving service. It was an enacted parable not a commandment to literally wash one another's feet.
