Thank you for asking a question on This is your Bible.

Revelation from God has been given in written form known as scripture.

Romans 15:4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

We have the scripture in the form of the Old Testament and the New Testament combined together into what is known as the Bible. There are no further revelations being given today. The Bible is the only source of God’s revelation to man and that revelation is complete inasmuch as the Bible contains all that we need to know for our salvation.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

The Bible says that the last and greatest prophet was Jesus Christ, the son of God.

Hebrews 1: 1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,

2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son...

His final prophecy was given to John and is the last book in the New Testament. The opening verse reads:

Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,

Some of the final verses read:

Revelation 22:18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

The canon of scriptures was complete by the end of the 1st century. There have been no prophets since, neither is there a need because God’s revelation of his plan and purpose was completed in Jesus Christ and all that is necessary for us to know is preserved in written form.

The doctrine is complete
.

Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

1 Timothy 1:3 As I urged you when I went into Macedonia—remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

1Timothy 4:16 Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

2John 1:10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him;

.
The gospel is complete
.

Mark 16:15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
All professed prophets that have arisen since the end of the 1st century with supposedly ‘new revelations’ have been false prophets.

Matthew 24:11 "Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

No further revelation is required because the scriptures themselves are able to make us ‘wise unto salvation’.

2Timothy 3:15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

For this reason we urge everyone to read the Bible for themselves.
I hope this helps.
