A visitor writes,

"why does 1 corinthians 9:5 reads Do we not have a right to take along a believing wife, even as the rest of the apostles and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? but the roman translation ISBN differs from the word 'wife' is it because they claim that peter was the first pope and it wont fit their dogma."

NKJV 1 Corinthians 9:5 Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?
Using Strong’s Concordance:
Wife <1135> γυνή gune goo-nay’ probably from the base of <1096> γίνομαι ginomai
n f; TDNT-1:776,134;  {See TDNT 166 }
Translated in the KJV - women 129 times, wife 92 times
Meaning:
1) a woman of any age, whether a virgin, or married, or a widow
2) a wife  2a) of a betrothed woman

Most translators agree that wife is an appropriate translation.
In Luke 4:38-39 Jesus heals Peter’s wife’s mother, which would confirm that Peter was indeed married.
Luke 4:38  Now He arose from the synagogue and entered Simon’s house. But Simon’s wife’s mother was sick with a high fever, and they made request of Him concerning her. 39  So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them.
The Douay version acknowledges that.
DOUAY Luke 4:38  And Jesus rising up out of the synagogue, went into Simon’s house. And Simon’s wife’s mother was taken with a great fever: and they besought him for her. 39  And standing over her, he commanded the fever: and it left her. And immediately rising, she ministered to them.
I cannot answer for the Roman Church - their corruption of the Gospel is self-evident.
I hope this helps.
God bless,
