A visitor writes,

"How can we examine modern claims in the Bible"

The writers of the scriptures which make up the Bible claim that the scriptures were written by inspiration of God.
2 Timothy 3:16  All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17  that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
This is a fundamental truth.
The New Testament was completed by the end of the first century AD.
The Gospel preached by Jesus and his apostles hasn’t changed for 2000 years.
The Apostle Paul writes:
Galatians 1:8  But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9  As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
This being the case we are best ignoring modern claims in the Bible.
We do better to emulate the Bereans:
Acts 17:11  These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
The Gospel is built on the foundation of the promises which God made to Abraham, Israel, and David.
Jesus upbraided his disciples for their failure to believe what was written:
Luke 24:25  Then He said to them, "O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! 26  "Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?" 27  And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.
The scriptures contain all that we need to know for salvation. They haven’t changed, so it is doubtful that ‘modern claims to the Bible’ will be of much use.
I hope this helps.
God bless,
