A visitor writes,
"Will my pets be in heaven?"
No one other than Jesus Christ goes to heaven.
The Gospel of the Kingdom of God is that of a kingdom to be established on the earth when Jesus Christ returns.
Hence the request in the ‘Lord’s prayer’:
Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
We do not possess something which survives death.
When we die, we cease to exist. Our faculties perish.
Psalms 146:4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they will die; But the dead know nothing, And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten.
The hope of the Gospel is that of resurrection from the dead to eternal life in the kingdom of God when Jesus returns.
1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. 24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.
Pets do not go to heaven and nor do we.
I hope this helps.
God bless,
Glenn
