Does god heal everyone?
In this life, the answer is no.
Because we sin, we are subject to death which can come in many forms, of which illness is just one. Paul, the apostle, had an unnamed affliction for which he prayed to God for healing. He was told that he must endure it. 2 Corinthians 12:7-10.
In the first century AD believers had gifts of the Holy Spirit, one of which was the ability to heal all manner of illness, This was to aid them in preaching the Gospel. But when the apostles died these gifts were no longer available.
The emphasis in scripture is on spiritual health rather than physical health. Our hope is not health in this life, but life in the world to come — eternal life in the kingdom of God which will be established when Jesus Christ returns. To attain to this, we must believe and obey the Gospel preached by Jesus Christ and his apostles. If we do this and remain faithful it may be that through prayer, God will enable us to be healed of an illness, but it may not be God’s will to do that. 1 John 5:14
For faithful believers, death is but a sleep which will end in resurrection from the dead to eternal life, free from illness forever.
If we suffer in this life, we should try to cultivate the attitude of the apostle Paul. Philippians 4:11…
I hope you find this helpful.
God bless,
