Does science contradict the Bible?

Science is the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and the testing of theories against the evidence obtained.

To my knowledge, there has never been a systematic study proven to contradict the Bible. There are theories derived from observations which some claim contradict the Bible, but they remain theories unsupported by actual proof.

The Bible claims to be the inspired word of the Creator. It explains His purpose and why it is that we die. It also explains how we can be raised from the dead to eternal life in the future Kingdom of God.

The Bible contains prophecies, many of which have been fulfilled in the past, one major one fulfilled in my lifetime, and some to be fulfilled in the future. These are what convinced me that the Bible could be trusted.

We have the record of the life of Jesus Christ, himself the fulfilment of many Bible prophecies, which we know were written down centuries before his birth. There is no doubt that he existed. If we believe and obey the Gospel that he preached, we can live our lives in hope and not be afraid of death.

If we discount the Bible record and believe the explanations proposed by science, then the Universe, the earth, the complex diversity of plants and animals, and we ourselves, are all here by chance begun by a "Big Bang" ‘explosion’

The clearly intricate design of living creatures has come about purely by accident according to contemporary thought; there is no purpose. We live and die without hope.

The idea that an eye, for example, could suddenly miraculously construct itself part by part over generations of a creature that began without one is staggeringly unbelievable.

I conclude that it is impossible for genuine science to contradict the Bible, no matter how many ‘scientists’ produce theories claiming that it does.
