What does John 17 verse 5 mean? Doesn't this verse prove Jesus' pre-human existence?

John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.

Because God knows the end right from the beginning, he perceives and describes things that are not (yet) as though they were.

Acts 15:18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,’

Jesus was foreordained, he didn’t exist at the beginning. He didn’t exist until he was born.

1 Peter 1:20 He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you.

All those who will be saved through Christ were also foreknown from the beginning.

Ephesians 1:4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.

Revelation 13:8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

The glorification of Jesus was foreordained by God before the foundation of the world. All things were made on account of him. And the fulfilment of God’s purpose with the earth depended on his sacrifice.

Jesus endured the cross for the joy promised to him — what was promised wasn’t something he had previously experienced.

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus is not God; he is the Son of God conceived in the womb of Mary and thus truly a son of man — a descendant of Abraham and David.

God cannot be tempted to sin. Jesus was tempted to sin exactly as we are, yet he never failed. He was mortal and died. God raised him from the dead and gave him eternal life. In this he is the firstfruits.

1 Corinthians 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
