What is the will of God for our lives?
God bore testimony to his SonJesus with the instruction to 'hear him': Luke 9:35
From this we understand that the will of God for our lives is that we should understand and obey the Gospel of the kingdom of God preached by Jesus and his apostles. Matthew 4:23
This necessitates the careful reading of the scriptures which make up the Bible. The Old Testament contains prophecies about Jesus. Jesus upbraided the two disciples on the road to Emmaus for not believing what was written: Luke 24:25-27
The New Testament contains the Gospel. When we understand the Gospel, we must believe it obey the commandments of Jesus in our lives. Jesus gives a parable showing the importance of this. Luke 6:46-49
