Is there anywhere in the bible that states men should not have long hair?
Under the Old Covenant which God made with Israel at Sinai, a man who took the vow of a Nazarite was required to allow his hair to grow. Numbers 6:1-5
This of itself indicates that the norm for the male was to have short hair.
Long hair on a woman enhances her beauty, but it does not do the same for a man.
Paul makes this observation in his first letter to Corinth. 1 Corinthians 11:14,15
When the kingdom of God is established the Levitical priests of the line of Zadok will not be permitted to have long hair. Ezekiel 44:20
In conclusion, under the New Covenant instituted by Jesus Christ, there is no commandment given about the length of a man’s hair, but common sense tells us that our outward appearance does matter if we are to be ambassadors for Christ. 1 Corinthians 10:31
I hope you find this helpful.
God bless,
