Are there different levels of faith?
Faith might be described as that which we do because of what we believe.
Faith is belief in action. James 2:14-26
In Abraham we have a supreme example. God had promised him that in his seed (descendants) all nations would be blessed. Thus when he was told to sacrifice Isaac he was prepared to do it because he believed that God would raise Isaac from the dead in order for him to have children. Hebrews 1:17-19
Jesus upbraided his disciples for having no faith. Mark 4:35-40
In the parable of the sower we are given illustrations of faith, ranging from none to a great deal. Matthew 13:18-23
Our level of faith is demonstrated by what we are prepared to do because of what we believe.
The writer to the Hebrews gives other examples: Hebrews 11:1-40; Hebrews 12:1-3
In conclusion: there are levels of faith, but the onus is on believers to make the best use of their natural talents in the service of God, rather than do nothing and leave the work to others.
I hope you find this helpful.
God bless,
