What is the difference between Satan, devil and demons?
Satan and Devil is the personification of the propensity to do evil within man, both individually and collectively.
Satan is the transliteration of a Hebrew word which means adversary. Devil is the translation of the Greek word ‘diabolos’ which means ‘slanderer’ or ‘false accuser’.
Temptation to evil, to disobey God, to sin, comes from within man himself. Jesus explained in Mark 7:20-23

Demons are defined in the New Testament as ‘unclean spirits’. The ‘spirit’ of a man is the way he thinks. A ‘demon’ or ‘unclean spirit’ therefore denotes a mental illness.
