Below are words of both Jesus and Peter about slander and false accusations:
Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
1 Peter 3:16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. 17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. 18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
From this we see that those in Christ who suffer because of false accusations will be rewarded. If we enquire how we can be ‘in Christ’, the answer is straightforward.
We must:
In Christ we need not fear false accusations because they will not affect our future salvation.
I hope you find this helpful.
God bless,
