Those who have believed the gospel and been baptised into Jesus Christ must avoid close relationships with unbelievers. We are not to take part in evil-doing.
Paul gives the following advice:
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
Ephesians 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, 18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
We are to love both neighbour and enemy alike in the sense that we are to do good to everyone as we find opportunity.
Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
We are to set an example to others.
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
I hope you find this helpful.
God bless,
