Jesus is not God and never was.  His status in Heaven is that of the "Last Adam, the firsborn of a new creation."  He will return from heaven to fulfill the promise of that new creation in God's kingdom.

This verse shows definitively that Jesus, at the Father's right hand is still human: 

1 Timothy 2:5  For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus
