Why should anyone care about finding the Ark of the Covenant? It is of Archaeological interest only and has no bearing on salvation. The utility of the Ark in the worship of God has long been over. Perhaps it would be useful to find the Ark as proof of the Bible's accuracy but if it were important for us to have the Ark, God would have ensured its discovery long ago.
