The Bible says nothing about Santa Claus. The scriptures which make up the Bible were complete by the end of the 1st century AD. According to Wikipedia, as far as Christianity is concerned, Santa Claus originated in the 4th Century AD.

Early Christian origins

Saint Nicholas of Myra is the primary inspiration for the Christian figure of Santa Claus. He was a 4th-century Greek Christian bishop of Myra (now Demre) in Lycia, a province of the Byzantine Anatolia, now in Turkey. Nicholas was famous for his generous gifts to the poor, in particular presenting the three impoverished daughters of a pious Christian with dowries so that they would not have to become prostitutes. He was very religious from an early age and devoted his life entirely to Christianity. In Europe (more precisely the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and Germany) he is still portrayed as a bearded bishop in canonical robes. In 1087, the Italian city of Bari, wanting to enter the profitable pilgrimage industry of the times, mounted an expedition to locate the tomb of the Christian Saint and procure his remains. The reliquary of St. Nicholas was desecrated by Italian sailors and the spoils, including his relics, taken to Bari where they are kept to this day. A basilica was constructed the same year to store the loot and the area became a pilgrimage site for the devout, thus justifying the economic cost of the expedition. Irish historians say that his remains were moved on again from Italy to Jerpoint Abbey in County Kilkenny, where his grave can still be seen. Saint Nicholas was later claimed as a patron saint of many diverse groups, from archers, sailor, and children to pawnbrokers. He is also the patron saint of both Amsterdam and Moscow.

As ‘Saint’ Nicholas is dead and according to the Bible the dead are in the grave and know nothing; it follows that the nonsense built upon him has no basis in the Bible.

Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

Psalms 146:4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.

The idea that the Church can make ‘Saints’ in heaven of dead men is a fiction perpetrated by apostate Christianity, based on the false doctrine that man has an immortal soul.

All who believe the gospel and are baptised into Christ become saints – sanctified or set apart –  whilst they are yet alive.

1 Corinthians 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches (ecclesias – congregations) of the saints.

When they die they do not go to heaven; they sleep in the dust awaiting resurrection.

Acts 7:60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

1 Thessalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
