The Bible tells us that the punishment for each and every sin is death.

We do not have an immortal soul or spirit that continues in conscious existence after death. When we die we really are dead.

Death is eternal unless God raises us from the dead. Resurrection from the dead is the hope held out in the gospel.

To be raised from the dead to eternal life we need all our sins forgiven. This is the new covenant that God is prepared to make with us if we believe and obey the gospel preached by Jesus Christ.
 
Hebrews 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17  And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
 
The forgiveness of sins is only available to those who believe that Jesus Christ sacrificed his life in order that our sins may be forgiven.
 
Acts 13:38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
 
Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
 
No other religion provides a saviour through whom all our sins can be forgiven.
 
Jesus says:
 
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
 
John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
 
God requires a response from those who believe.
 
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned (condemned).
 
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins...

The new life is that of living by the commandments of Christ.

We cannot live a sinless life; we will still sin after baptism but ongoing forgiveness is available by repentance and confession in prayer.
 
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
 
In conclusion - salvation comes from only Christianity because only through the sacrifice of Christ can we have our sins forgiven.
 
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
