Your pastor, forgive me for saying so, appears to me to be a rip-off artist intent on milking the flock for as much as he can. This is decidely unscriptural and sinful. The example of the Apostle Paul is one your so-called pastor should take to heart. He worked to supply his needs and preached the gospel free of charge. He did not charge anyone to attend a Bible class!

1 Thessalonians 2:9  For you remember, brethren, our labor and toil; for laboring night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.

2 Corinthians 2:17  For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God’s word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.
