Chloe litterally means "green" or a "green herb" with perhaps the connotation of "in bloom." We get our word "Chlorophyll", the green pigment in plants from the same root word as "Chloe".
Chloe was a sister in Christ of Corinth who informed Paul of the disputes within the local church.1 Corinthians 1:11
