What part of Egypt did Moses and the 12 tribes come from?

They came from the eastern portion of the Nile delta.

Thanks for asking a question onthisisyourbible.com.

In the days of Jacob and his sons, the Israelites settled in a section of Egypt called Goshen. See Genesis 46:31-34. This was near the then administrative capital of Egypt and thus close to the home of Joseph who was Egypt's chief administrator at the time. See Psalm 78:12,43 - Goshen is identified as being close to Zoan in the eastern portion of the Nile delta. This was the area they came out of at the beginning of the Exodus from Egypt.

I hope you have found this helpful.

God bless!
