Who was the creator in the Godhead?


If they are all one, is the question even relevant?

The Trinity, composed of God the Father God the son and God the Holy Spirit, is not found in the Bible. It is a fiction invented by mixing pagan theology with the truth. Those who believe it do not understand the Bible. There is only one God, the creator and sustainer of all life. Jesus Christ is his son who did not exist before he was born of Mary. The Holy Spirit is not a person it is the power of God.

God himself is the creator. There are no other gods beside him.

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Isaiah 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: 6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. 7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. 8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it...12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. 17 But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end. 18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else... 21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. 22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

Jesus Christ is not the creator of the original heaven and earth. Jesus was not alive at creation. He existed only in the sense that he was the key part of the future plan and purpose of God (who knows the end from the beginning). He is the firstborn son of God in that he was the first to rise from the dead to eternal life.

Colossians 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

He was foreknown before the foundation of the world in exactly the same way as we were foreknown. If he pre-existed, Peter would surely say so.

USRomans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow (proginosko), he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

JESUS1 Peter 1:20 Who verily was foreordained (proginosko) before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Hebrews speaks of the day he was begotten.

Hebrews 1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

If Christ pre-existed, he could not have differed from the angels in the way he was made. ‘Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee’ must refer to an event which made him different from the angels. Paul says that it applied when he was begotten from the dead. That is, at his resurrection.

Acts 13:33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

Psalm 89 was written before the firstborn was made.

Psalms 89:27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.

‘I will make’ is future tense and refers to Christ.

Hebrews 1:5 (continued) ‘I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son’ is quoting 1 Chronicles 17.

1 Chronicles 17:11 And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. 12 He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever. 13 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee: 14 But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.

Once again ‘I will be’ is future tense and it applies in context to Christ. It makes sense to conclude that this son of David, not yet born, will have God for his Father and a descendant of David for his mother. When he was raised from the dead, Christ was made a high priest (after the order of Melchisedec) and went to make intercession for us at God’s right hand. He was not a high priest during his ministry on earth. The writer to the Hebrews uses the same quotation for this event as Paul did for his resurrection.

Hebrews 5:5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

When Christ was born he was made lower than the angels.

Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Yet when he is brought into the world as the firstbegotten the angels of God are instructed to worship him.

Hebrews 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

This could only have been at his resurrection for only then was all power in heaven and earth given unto him.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

At his crucifixion he could not command 12 legions of angels he had to ask for them.

Matthew 26:53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently (immediately) give me more than twelve legions of angels?

At his resurrection it is clear that God raised Jesus with the divine nature.

Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

The ‘oil of gladness’ is the bestowal of eternal life (the divine nature) above his fellow man. Jesus obtained his right to the throne of the kingdom by his righteousness.

Luke 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

Hebrews 1:10 speaking of Jesus does not refer to the original physical creation.

Hebrews 1:10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: 11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

This becomes clear from Isaiah.

Isaiah 51:16 And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.

Contrast this with:

Isaiah 42:5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein... 18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

Isaiah 51:13 And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth...

Here it is obvious that God himself created the literal heavens and the earth, not Jesus. But God intends there to be a new heavens and a new earth.

Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

Not a literal replacement of the heavens and the earth, but a new order of things, laid on a new foundation.

1 Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Those in Christ wait for the new heaven and new earth of which Christ laid the foundation and is even now working through the gospel to bring it to fruition.

2 Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

This makes sense of what we read in Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 4:23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

This refers to the spiritual state that the Jewish heavens and earth (God’s kingdom) had sunk into. When the Jews had become blind leaders of the blind, Christ was born to bring in a new covenant whereby a new heaven and earth will be established. This will of course be the restored kingdom of David bearing rule over all the earth.
