Thanks for your question.
A description of the whole armor of God may be found in Ephesians 6:10-18. It describes all of the facets of the spiritual warrior's equipment required to survive in his battle against a Godless world.
The Belt of Truth - This is the part of the soldier's equipment that holds everything together. We must know and understand the truth of the gospel message. The gospel of Jesus and the apostles is the only gospel that will lead us to salvation. We can only know that true gospel through the word of God.
The Breastplate of Righteousness - We "put on" righteousness. It is a gift of God granted because of our faith and our sincere desire to be obedient to His word. This breastplate protects us from the fatal blows of the enemy, Sin. Because God has declared us, though undeserving, righteous we will be granted eternal life in His Kingdom when Jesus returns. If we put aside that breastplate, we expose ourselves to the deadly force of sin and we will lose our precious gift of life. Once you put on the breastplate of righteousness, never take it off!
Feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace - The spiritual warrior must be prepared. He must apply his mind to the word of God. "Be ready always to give an answer for the hope that is in you" says Peter [1 Peter 3:15].
Shield of faith - The shield of faith along with the helmet of slavation and the breastplate of righteousness are the warrior's defensive equipment allowing him to survive the attacks of wickedness. Faith is a steadfast belief and understanding put into action. It precedes us always in the battlefield of life and wards off the missiles of doubt and temptation which Sin flings our way constantly.
The helmet of salvation - The helmet of salvation protects the spiritual warrior's mind from the unceasing barrage of godlessness sent his way by the purveyors of the lusts of this world and keeps the hope of the Kingdom of God and the salvation gained by Christ foremost in his thinking.
The Sword of the Spirit - This is the Word of God. This is our one offensive weapon. We must become skilled in its use in order to defeat the wiles of Sin and wickedness in the world. [see 1 John 2:15-17 and 2 Timothy 2:15]
Praying always - Prayer is the foundation of the spiritual warrior's armor. He needs direction and encouragement from headquarters. He needs spiritual strength. Without prayer the warrior is doomed to fail. See Philippians 2:12,13. As David said [1 Samuel 17:47] to Goliath, just before he slew him, "The battle is the LORD's". We must never forget that!
I hope you have found this helpful.
