What three thing happened when God was dying on the cross?

Did God really die on the cross?

Thanks for asking a question on www.thisisyourbible.com

Three things happened when Jesus Christ died by crucifixion:
1. Darkness from noon until 3pm
2. The veil of the Temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom
3. An earthquake; as a result of which certain were resurrected from the dead..
Matthew 27:45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? 47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias. 48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink. 49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him. 50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the spirit. 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
The Bible says nothing about God dying on the cross. The Bible does not say that Jesus was God. The Bible says that Jesus was the son of God.
You will see from the context (v.46) that Jesus cried unto God before he died. He wasn’t speaking to himself.
Prior to his death Jesus explained that his Father (God) was greater than he.
John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
He told his disciples that the Father (God) knew things that he didn’t; indicating conclusively that he is separate from God.
Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
After his resurrection he explains that he is ascending to his God who is also our God.
John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
He was not ascending to himself.
Jesus now sits on the right hand of God. In order for this to be possible God and Jesus must be separate beings.
Hebrews 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
He is not sitting at his own right hand.
The trinity is a false doctrine introduced by the apostate ‘Christian Church’ in the fourth century AD and is unsupported by scripture.
God says through Isaiah that there is no God beside him.
Isaiah 45:6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else... 21... there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
Moses says that our God is ‘one Lord’.
Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
Jesus confirms that God our God (he includes himself in the ‘our’) is ‘one Lord’.
Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Paul explains that Jesus is a mediator between God and man and thus separate from God because God is one.
Galatians 3:20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
The language is plain enough and does not lend itself to the absurdity of ‘three in one and yet not three but one’ - a statement which clearly contradicts itself.
God cannot die because he is immortal.
God raised Jesus from the dead; he didn’t raise himself.
Acts 13:30 But God raised him from the dead:
